Enlighten, Scotland’s independent, non-partisan think tank, was delighted to host a discussion about the Scottish Budget with Professor Graeme Roy, chair of the Scottish Fiscal Commission.
Finance Secretary Shona Robison delivered the Budget on Jan 13, the last before May’s Holyrood election. This is a key political moment, which says much about the SNP’s priorities going into the campaign. But it is also a key economic occasion, with the Fiscal Commission and Audit Scotland having previously warned that whoever forms the next Scottish Government will face a number of fiscal risks.
Professor Roy will joined us on January 14 to share his insights and the Fiscal Commission’s analysis. He was in conversation with Chris Deerin, Director of Enlighten.
