We were delighted to host an online discussion about Scotland’s performance in the latest PISA education rankings.
The Programme for International Student Assessment, commonly known as PISA, is produced by the OECD every three years and measures 15-year-olds’ ability to use their reading, mathematics and science knowledge and skills. The latest data was released on September 8. A note about the results by Commission on School Reform member Professor Lindsay Paterson can be read here.

Lindsay Paterson, Professor Emeritus of Education Policy at the University of Edinburgh, and author of the recently published Lessons from Scottish Schools: Why Knowledge Matters.
Daisy Christodoulou, Director of Education at No More Marking, a provider of online Comparative Judgement software for schools. Daisy is the author of three books about education: Teachers vs Tech, Making Good Progress, and Seven Myths about Education.
