Thursday 25 June at 1pm
Enlighten is delighted to host an online discussion exploring the growing participation challenge facing the UK. This follows the recent interim report from Alan Milburn and the wider debate emerging around economic inactivity, young people, health, skills and public service reform.
Are our many institutions – including employment support, education and wider public services – designed for the realities of modern lives, fluctuating health and increasingly intermittent labour market participation?
How do we not only get people into work, but help ensure that they can maintain that job and continue to participate over time?
What do employers, public services and policymakers need to do differently to achieve this goal?
Our panel will include:
- Sean Duffy, CEO of the Wise Group, a leading social enterprise dedicated to transforming lives and lifting people out of poverty (The Wise Group’s recent manifesto can be read here)
- Rt Hon Justine Greening, Founder of The Purpose Coalition and Former Secretary of State for Education, Transport and International Development
The discussion will be chaired by Enlighten Director Chris Deerin.
This event will be held via Zoom on Thursday 25 June starting at 1.00 pm. Login details will be provided on RSVP to [email protected]
